Baker City Birding Club - Powder River Rec. Area Birding Walk
The Baker City Birding Club is a new club for people who enjoy birds, birding and nature walks. On Saturday, April 13, we will meet at the Powder River Recreation Area at 8:00 a.m. and walk the trail hoping to spot and view local birds and wildlife. Bring your binoculars! It will take anywhere from an hour to an hour and a half to walk the trail, depending on how much bird activity there is, and you can leave at any time. See our club website for more information. Please don't bring pets or children unless they're well behaved as we will be trying to view birds that may be averse to noise and motion.
The Baker City Birding Club is a group for those interested in birds to meet and organize "meetups" to bird at nearby destinations.
You don't need to be a bird expert to be part of this group (but we wouldn't mind having some experts!). If you enjoy taking walks, viewing wildlife, or just getting outdoors, this group should have something for you!
Let's discover new places to find birds in our surrounding communities and get to know other local birders!
* * This group is new and has the potential to grow and change based on member input. As the group grows, other members will be able to schedule and lead their own "meetups" such as leading their own bird walk for example. Future meetup events could also include events such as building birdhouses/bluebird boxes, bird photography workshops or trips, trips outside of our local area, suet making, etc. * *
