Belleek Style Woven Baskets Instructor: Debbie Penning Saturday – May 9th- 9:00 am – 3:00 pm and May 16th – 9:00 am – 10:30 am Age Requirements: 18 and up Minimum # of Students: 3 Maximum # of students: 6 Course cost per series: Members $65 Non-members $97.50 Supply Fee: $15 covers clay and firing charges Course Description: Make beautiful Belleek style baskets in the month of May. Students will weave extruded clay onto plaster molds and embellish their baskets with clay flowers of their own design. Experience in handbuilding or altering pottery is helpful. Students should know how to thoroughly slip, score and attach clay pieces. Managing the changing moisture content of the clay to maintain workability is also important.
