Make the historic town of Sumpter, Oregon, part of your Labor Day weekend entertainment. The popular Sumpter Flea Market features food, crafts, antiques and collectibles, art, books, farm implements and more. The scenic park-like setting, covered dining area and public rest rooms add to the casual and comfortable atmosphere. There are generally 10 food vendors and up to 95 general vendors. Many vendors have been regulars at the flea market for years. The Sumpter Valley Railroad offers train rides throughout the weekend and the Sumpter Dredge State Heritage Area is open, as well. Tour the dredge and learn about this fascinating piece of mining history.
